The food was good, but the service was exceptional from Alan. We would eat here again. We had the 1/2 racks, baked potato and asparagus. The apple muffin desert was a little dry.

It was very convenient to have restaurants in Death Valley - the general store had some food but we wanted a true dinner and we sure did get that. The food was good the drinks were strong and the service was the best - I wish I remembered our waiters name, but he was awesome and kept chuckling. The meat was cooked to perfection (rare!) and dessert was yummy as well - would definitely make a reservation here again when visiting Death Valley!

We had a couple of breakfasts here. Lovely spot to sit and enjoy an omelette or oatmeal... no rush! Great service, personable water servers and waitresses. Love the whole inn vibe!

This review is only for breakfast. Our breakfast meals were very good, fresh with large portions. They had a smaller menu and most items were very good. The eggs over medium were so much better than the scrambled. The Continental was a large serving and full of fresh fruit. The crepe styled flapjacks were very good and the date butter was delicious. The service here was so friendly. They had no issue with our special orders. The dining area was spacious with a wonderful view of the mountain range. Also, if you are staying at the sister property, The Ranch, they will allow you to charge the meal to your room. A fun note: the way to get from the parking lot to the dining room is to access their tunnel walk that leads to the elevator. A fun adventure for kids and adults.

We Lived in the area 20 some years ago, this was our go to spot for Sunday Brunch. What a spread they had. But the Inn was only open October - Easter so it was a very special place to go when living in the middle of nowhere. Fast forward - the Furnace Creek Inn is now The Inn at Death Valley, and the restaurant I am reviewing is the one in the beautiful Spanish Mission style hotel up on the hill - not the restaurant at the ranch about a mile away. There has been extensive remodeling and updating to the building and the grounds. The Dining Room is still pretty much the same as it was when we had brunch there with friends many years ago. They no longer do their magnificent brunch. They do, however, serve Breakfast and Dinner. We ate there during our recent long weekend staying at the Inn. The menu is limited for dinner and it was the same choices all three nights we were there. Our favorite was the Pan Seared Chicken Breast with Cilantro Mint Coulis and Israeli Couscous. I also had the grilled Salmon (perfectly cooked) and the Chipotle Basil Pesto Pasta. My husband had the Ribeye Steak which he said was good - not great but good. They also accommodated him by letting him substitute the Couscous with the Fingerling Potatoes with the Chicken. Breakfast is pretty standard. The Omelets are choose your own fillings and was well prepared. The standout item is their House Made Date Bread which is available both for Breakfast and dinner. Our last morning there, our waitress brought me an extra large portion and told me to take it with me to enjoy on our journey home. The service was good. The wait time for the meals was a bit long, but as with other restaurants, they are short staffed. So why a "good" instead of a "great"? The meals while good, seemed over-priced; good, but nothing outstanding. I do hope they will be able to provide lunch service again in the future. There are really NO other options other than what is available at the ranch.
